Anna Widmyer

I am a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who moved to Lakewood Ranch in 2017. Passionate about breast reconstruction, I became committed to caring for breast cancer patients after being inspired by the strength of my own sister as she battled cancer.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
A proud surgeon, married to a fellow physician (nephrologist) Dave, and mama to two boys David (5) and Thomas (1).

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I feel lucky to have found a profession that incorporates my artistic nature, unique attention to detail and problem solving skills

N/a I’m still “new”

How many young, motivated and successful people there are

Right here! Loving time with family and friends

I play tennis and volleyball

Always re-evaluating and pushing myself to be better, I’m constantly inspired by the strength of breast cancer survivors and their families
