Originally from NY. Been in Florida now for 25 years. I’m a Wife , Mother of 2 great kids, own a beautiful house in a small development here in town. I love to exercise and love the beach- it just brings me peace. I am lucky to have a group of girlfriends who I call my Tribe,  my sisters. I love animals ( especially kitty cats), gardening and cooking. I stay pretty active. I’ve lived in Lakewood Ranch for 14 years and I feel like I’ve grown with the community. We started our family here and also started my 2nd career of 16 plus years in the Skin Care & Permanent Makeup Business and love every minute of it. I adore my clients…many have become just dear friends and I always look forward to seeing them.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Married 26 years to a wonderful man and we have two great boys who we’re beyond proud of. Both in college, on scholorships-runners. Of course, I can’t leave out my 3 cats who are also part of our family.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
Past career- Started off working for American Airlines for a year and then worked 14 years as a Corporate Travel agent. After 911 many of us lost our jobs so I worked for a workmans comp insurance company for a bit but decided to go back to school (which I swore I would never do). Went for 2 years then recieved my Associates of Science in Natural Health Concentrating in Paramedical Skin Care. That was 16 years ago!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Casa Maya!…#1 , Michaelangelos and Thai Spice

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
At least 14 years

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
No ONE person comes to mind..but I would have to say that many of my clients have very interesting stories of things they’ve done or are doing.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Greece… Looks peaceful, easy, love the water, food, culture

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Big Bang Theory and Ink Master… Favorite movies..Always go back to oldies “When Harry Met Sally” or “Conair”

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be KIND to others… I’m tired of all the hate in the world

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I’ve been blessed and have done so much these past years, I don’t have anything right now

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Norah Jones , Jimmy Buffett

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I love the miniture golf on our Mail Street. Love seeing the locals and families just spending time together

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I love to cook…I would LOVE to meet Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine, to talk about food and get lots of pointers from him. Locally, I would like to have lunch with him at BRIO. Have always loved their atmosphere.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
You don’t have to go far to find your favorite store to shop at or restaurant/doctor to go to. Everything is close by. From the many gyms, walking & bike trails, to your quaint wine shop on Main Street.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Probably still working. I really enjoy helping others feel good about themselves.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I used to play guitar and read music (many moons ago)

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Alaska. Breath taking

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favorite month – June because its my Birthday. June is just all about Summer to me. Beach time and BBQ’s with friends & family—even though we can do this all year round—I don’t know, it’s just a different feeling. Favorite Holiday- Thanksgiving. Love everything about it! The gatherings, the food, the cooking . Single best day on calendar–I have a couple…but I just love Halloween. For weeks prior, I’m decorating and buying candy for kiddos. I love and look forward to sitting outside and handing out treats!

Coffee brewing first thing in the morning, I love diffusing– anything in the citrus family
